All event participants must adhere to the following rules:
1) Laurel County is dry except for certain restaurants; thus alcoholic beverages are NOT allowed at Camp Wildcat. 2) The hosts reserve the right to disallow any item, person, or activity deemed unsafe of inappropriate. 3) Please keep all anachronisms under cover at all times. 4) All uniforms must be proper period materials and construction. Proper weapons and gear should reflect an early war (1861) impression. 5) No live ammunition or fireworks. Gunpowder should be carried as pre-rolled period cartridges only. 6) All participants must carry a medical card/registration pass with them at all times. 7) Bayonets will be fixed only on the order of the Commanding General. 8) All safety rules must be followed. A safety inspection and lecture will precede each battle. 9) Minimum age to carry a weapon is 14 years old. 10) Officers with rank over Captain must notify the sponsors in advance of the event in order to be assigned an historical role. 11) Infantry officers will be limited to one for every 20 men. 12) Campsites must be set up according to period regulations. All campfire safety precautions must be followed. 13) An authenticity inspection will be conducted each morning before spectators will be allowed to enter. Compliance with an inspector's decisions is required. 14) Only flags that were used in 1861 or before are allowed. 15) Horse owners will need to present a current Coggins test report. 16) Horses are not to be in the sutler, registration, or food areas. 17) Horses are not allowed on the walking trails at the original battleground. 18) No gunfire after 11:00 p.m. at night and not before 12:00 noon on Sunday. 19) For safety precautions, children must be supervised at all times. 20) Children are NOT to be on the railroad tracks at any times. 21) Must have a ticket from registration booth in order to pick up gunpowder. 22) In the event of a dispute, the final decision will be with the Laurel Home Guard reenacting unit organizers. 23) Have fun, be safe.
